Joggili wooden weather house

Kitsch and a dust collector, as this house may be, it can read the weather!  Made in West Germany, this house used to have flowers and moss planted all around the house and roof. Fine weather days, the lady comes out standing with a posy of flowers and rain, the man who is wearing a rain coat comes out!  Unfortunately this Joggili is missing a therometer and chimney,so it can no longer tell the weather :(

Kidz Storage picture frame

Elijah asked for a frame to store his drawings.  Made and painted up this frame whereby the latest drawing is placed in the front of frame and old drawings are stored behind. One way of ensuring your kidz drawings are kept in a safe place without getting lost or damaged and also you can see your kids drawing abilities improve!  This is Elijah's drawing of a fire engine! Fireman/engines are the flavour of the moment! As seen in previous blog, Elijah requested a firemans outfit!

Early 1920's

Found this lovely post card. Based on the age of the cars and style of the ladies frocks!, would say it is early 1920's.

the writing on the reverse writer says the photograph was taken on the beach.  Printed by Happy Snaps, Durban.  It looks like they were strolling along the quay near the habour entrance as the background looks like the Bluff!
